2011 Fantasy Baseball???
Anyone interested? I was thinking along the lines of a keeper league instead, that way we can just have it set up and keep rolling with the same league and same settings every season. It would require serious interest and a lot more planning though. I never did a keeper league before so I'm not sure exactly how it works, but I think it's along the lines of you get to keep a certain number of players from your previous years roster or something like that, and I guess draft order the following years is determined by your last years finish.

BASEBALL?! The most boring sport EVAR?
Just kidding, glen. I'd be interested. Only keeper league that I've done is a hockey league on ESPN.com. I know in the past we've Yahoo for fantasy baseball and I believe you can do keepers there.
They're a lot of fun (granted, this is only our 2nd season in our hockey league), but I'm the league commish and I can dictate how many keepers you carry over from one year to the next. I think our league rosters hold 18 players with 3 IR spots and we are able to keep 6 players. After the keeper deadline passes, all players are released back into the market and can be drafted.
Again, this is a hockey league, so I'm sure baseball will be different but that's just my experience with keeper leagues. Luckily, we had all of our teams return for the 2nd season. That's probably the biggest thing about keeper leagues: continuity between players, and if one drops, will need to find another replacement.

I'd like a relatively big league, but that flopped when I tried to get 16 for football. Harder to get interest during the summer though.

wow TONS of interest so far. I know it's still football and all until early Feb, but fantasy baseball leagues start forming middle of February.

Re: 2011 Fantasy Baseball???
Out of morbid curiosity I wanted to see if they had a start date for this year and sure enough, drafts have already begun. Soooooooooooo....
How about a 12 team league? Let's get a roll call together and then we can plan a draft date. I can't do Mondays or Wednesdays because I'm teaching night school those two days, but anything else works for me.

Thursday night is the only night I'm busy. Weekends it's a crap shoot though.

I have a guy at work who wants in, if you're all cool with having a Rangers fan as part of the league.
