I'm thinking Saturday Nov. 10 we invade Nashville.

Way too many marquee games on Sunday nights. What is that crap. I'm guessing its NBC Sports dictating it? These games need to be on Saturday nights so the Blues can get some larger concession revenues.
Re: 2012 - 13 Schedule Released
Home opener vs. Detroit...nice.
I despise the fact we have four days off between our 2nd game and the home opener. I hate that crap, especially early in the season.
A stretch of 6 days off in January??
11 games in 19 days very late in the season. Ugh.
A home and at home vs. the Hawks to end the season. Nice.

I may have missed something since I only scanned the schedule, but at least there's no ridiculous 9 or 10 game road trips.

I assume so. But it's still a lot of time off.philco_3 wrote:All-Star Game?cprice12 wrote:A stretch of 6 days off in January??

Re: 2012 - 13 Schedule Released
Well as long as there are no 6 days off during the rest of the schedule I will be happy. I just hate it when they play 3 games in a 5 day period and not play for another week.cprice12 wrote:I assume so. Re: 2012 - 13 Schedule Released
All-Star Game is Jan 27th.
There also isn't any of that BS where they play a division rival 3 times in a row on the road within a single 4 week period.
No Red Wings or Blackhawks matchup on New Year's Eve this time. Instead, it's at Vancouver.
The December and 1st half of January is a bitch. They play 6 times on back-to-back nights and have 4 games per week essentially from Nov 1st until the All-Star break. Only 10 back-to-back nights for the entire season and 6 of them fall in a 6 week window. 5 back-to-back nights are against Pacific time foes with one of them being a Phx/Dallas matchup. Minimizing time on the road is a good thing, IMO.
Much better schedule than last season, even with the early October break.

Where are the NHL season openers live from Cape Town, South Africa?
Wellington, New Zealand perhaps?

Re: 2012 - 13 Schedule Released
Russia and Brazil, it would piss off the KHL and maybe the NHL could expand its game to other nations that already have the sports playing there.WaukeeBlues wrote:Where are the NHL season openers live from Cape Town, South Africa?
