Was it lower body? He got hit in the mask, I thought he was just pulled because the swelling was affecting him. That would be upper body, or did I miss something along the way?

Halak has a groin strain. Hitch expects him to be ready by the weekend.

Let's hope Elliott is up to the task with the Preds and Wings on tap. Two games in a shortened season can be critical.

I'm really hoping we don't have a Dominik Hasek situation on our hands; constant groin-related injury. That's what pretty much deep six'd his career and Halak keeps coming up with those. I've heard somewhere that it's a common injury for a Butterfly netminder to have, so I'm concerned.

At least they said he was back on the ice today at practice and could possibly be back on Monday.

You can start blaming Jackman when he starts playing like the lazy Blues forwards who keep turning the puck over in the offensive zone, not getting the puck deep in the other team's end when they should, and lolly-gagging on the offensive side of center when the puck is headed towards the Blues end of the ice. Consider this, even though the Blues have given up a slew of even strength goals, Jackman is still +2.

I do not disagree, we have too many forwards who try to hard to be individuals and not pass or think that they are a one man team. Last nights game left me shaking my head on a couple of those goals it almost looked like we had Roman Turek back. I hope that Elliot finds his way back, he was too good last year to have this going on. I realize that sometimes you give up rebounds but he is giving up a lot and it doesn't help that the D doesn't get the puck out of there fast enough.
