Post Game Round Table Discussion

Post by cprice12 »

Is there any interest in gathering in a Google+ Hangout after a game with the Lets Go Blues Radio guys (Jeff Ponder and myself)?
We use a Google+ Hangout for our podcast and the live show we did and it works really well.
It can hold up to 10 people. So if you guys are interested in discussing the game face to face, or whatever, after an upcoming game, we can set that up.
Basically how it would work is after a game we would create the hangout and share the link here on the site and anyone can join the discussion. We'll also provide the live video stream link for those who can't or don't want to join, but want to watch.
You just need a webcam and a mic...and most newer laptops that are a few years old and newer have those things built in.

Any interest?

It's not that I don't think it's a good idea, it's that I live on the east coast, and I'm lucky if the games finish before 10:45 pm my time, and that's if the Blues are playing at home. If they play on the west coast, it's even worse.

I think it's cool, I just won't be participating.

Same, I would but by the time the games end I'm flinging myself into bed knowing full well I'll regret in the morning having stayed up for the 3rd period. I don't believe I have ever once watched a Blues regular season game where they're on the west coast and the start time is 10 PM or later (ET)

Maybe if it was after a Friday or Saturday home game, it would work best. Games usually end around 9:30 central and I know I would be eager to stick around the interwebs since I didn't have to get up the next day. Usually through the week, I'm hitting the hay shortly after the game ends. If this was going to become a recurring thing (if there was enough interest), I would suggest doing it after, say, every Saturday home game. That way people knew when this would take place and the majority of us wouldn't have to be up for work the next day. Also, it would make it more of an 'event' if there were only 2-3 a month. Just a thought.
