2 of 3. Just keep taking 2 of 3. We've owned the Brewers so far this year (6-1 I think). Hopefully that continues.

Indeed. And it's hard to believe the Brewers are in last place in the Central right now. I wasn't even aware of that until I heard it mention on 101 ESPN today.

I knew they were struggling, but didn't realize they had fallen behind the Cubs. They started the year awful. We shut them out B2B and then they came back against us in the 3rd game of the series the first time we played. That game sparked a hot streak that vaulted them up to first place or close to it. Then, when we swept them in their place, they went ice cold and haven't come out of it yet. Hopefully they wait 3 more days.

Wasn't necessarily pretty, but 1 down.

Also, DAVID MOTHER (Franking) FREESE!!!! I'm not convinced that he should have a significantly long future with the team (mCarp, Wong, injuries, consistency, etc.), but he will always be the man (well, you know what I mean). So happy to see him with that grand slam today. In fact, I think my entire block knows I was happy about it.

Looks like Garcia is heading to the DL. Maybe Gast will stay up here after all.

Yeah, Gast is probably up for awhile now. Good for him. Hopefully he continues to impress. He doesn't project as a front of the rotation guy, but he doesn't need to be quite that good up here anyway.

Westbrook had a setback yesterday as well. So, at least temporarily, we have another hole in the rotation. Wacha has been tearing it up in AAA, but we don't want to bring him up before he's ready. And, if we wait until June 1 (2 starts), he remains cost-controlled for an extra year. Since they brought Boggs back up yesterday (Why, I have no Idea), I'm thinking they are going to look to the bullpen for those starts. Kelly maybe? We're not in dire straits, but we have significantly less flexibility than we had 2-3 weeks ago.

2 of 3 gets er done. 7-3 home stand!!! And Chapman blew a 2-1 lead for the Reds today by surrendering 2 9th inning HRs to the Phillies. Got our game from yesterday back.

Another great series and a great home stand overall. I'm not sure what the deal with Lohse was. I'm sure we might hear more about it as time goes on, but that was surprising to see. It's crazy how the Cards have lit him up in all 3 games he's faced them so far.
