I'm happy, just wish one of the other Canadian games were on here so I didn't have to watch the douchawks.

I'd rather watch the Hawks to root against them.
But watching Montreal - Toronto would be nice.

So pumped! I guess I'm going to have to root for Ovi and the Caps. Too bad the Blues don't play till Thursday.

I checked on Directv's website and it looks like the Jets/Oilers game will be on Center Ice. So we'll see our new division rival against Mr. Perr'uh making his Oil debut.

So thoughts after watching the Leafs vs Habs.

Hybrid icing- Didnt really bug me didnt see any questionable calls though im certain we will see a few, I do see it being a problem in the playoffs though.

Helmet rule- Sucks but do see it both ways, I watched Parros fall during a fight and though he smashed his chin and face into the ice so the the helmet didnt help much. I see what the NHL is trying to do. Though having a key defenseman off the ice for 7 min sucks.

BUT HOCKEY IS BACK FOLKS!

One night, one hat trick.

And I'm completely okay with him being gone, but seeing Perr'uh in an Oilers sweater was a bit jarring. Seeing lazy offensive zone penalties in orange and blue just isn't going to look the same as it did in blue and yellow.

Well, Detroit is an Eastern Conference team now... Gotta build new rivalries, I guess.

Detroit and Buffalo are actually fairly close- about the same distance apart as Detroit to Chicago.
