Eh I don't think so.
They're still tight(ish) to the cap. They need 2 forwards and a defenseman (not counting Alzner) just to get to 18 and 6, so that doesn't count any healthy scratch, with a hair under $13 million to play with. To me it depends what they do with Edmundson and Domi. If they sign both of them there's not enough space after that. Arguably after signing one of them there won't be enough space yet. If Domi is dealt is obviously matters what money is coming back the other way.
Plus the Canadiens just don't really need help on the right side, they need help on left D desperately. I think they're hoping Weber and Petry hold up on the right side for another year or two and then figure it out from there.
