Blues prospect camp July 11-14. One surprise.

Tanner Dickinson is listed among the forwards for this camp. If he's skating already, that's incredibly good news!! Considering the injury he suffered. Turns out he was skating in May, ~4 months after being injured.

That kind of injury, as gruesome as it was, doesn’t heal overnight. That Dickinson is already back and skating is a testament to his work ethic and desire to compete.

The fact he was skating in May is stunning to me. My younger brother was hit by a car back.in the 70s and broke his femur. He was in a body cast for 6 months and docs were stunned he was out of it in that short a time frame. Modern medicine has done wonders for athletes in terms of getting them on their feet faster. Kudos to Tanner for getting on skates as quickly as he did.

Shark Lift-Away Deluxe NV360 Review: All You Need to Know & Tips And Tricks

The Shark NV360 is an upright vacuum cleaner that has been consistently featured on top-selling charts for years. Yes, while its affordability contributed a lot to its enduring popularity, its great performance and design for the price have helped a lot, too.

If you’re planning on getting one for yourself, here are all of the essentials that you need to know before you finalize your buying decision.

Who Will Find It Most Useful?

From all of the test data and customer reviews, I found that this blue Shark vacuum will work best in households with a lot of carpeting. Specifically, the vacuum’s performance is markedly better on carpets and rugs than on bare floors.

When placed on carpet piles, the vacuum’s suction and brush can scrub and suck away debris and pet hair in a flash.

Such effectiveness isn’t present on bare floors, unfortunately. There have been many reports of the NV360’s floorhead just skipping over large debris and pushing them away instead of sucking them up on hardwood and tile floors. As a result, it’s best that you choose another vacuum if bare floor cleaning is a major part of your cleaning routine.

The Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe NV360 upright vacuum will also be a good selection for pet owners. This Shark vacuum is capable of dealing with fur and hair on all floor types. Plus, with the addition of the upholstery tool, taking out pet hair on furniture and beddings shouldn’t be too difficult.

Can It Be Used For Stair Cleaning?

One of the biggest features of the Shark navigator NV360 (and any vacuum in Shark’s Lift-Away series) is the titular Lift-Away canister.

This feature allows you to detach the core component of the vacuum and uses it separately as an independent canister vacuum. Aside from shedding the bulky, hard-to-maneuver upright vacuum body, it also makes the vacuum easier to handle on stairs. You can bring the small, detached canister with you, set it down at the base of the stairs, and use the suction hose and wand combo to clean the steps. It’s certainly easier than having to drag the whole 14.3 pounds vacuum up and down the stairs.

But there’s one problem that you may have to watch out for: the short power cord. At only 25 feet long, the cord may not be long enough for you to cover the whole stairs.

Maintenance Tips
  • How to Empty the Dust Compartment
For the vacuum to perform best, you should start making it a habit to empty the dust cup after every cleaning session. Granted, the vacuum can hold a few days worth of dust and debris. However, all of the sitting dirt makes the vacuum more prone to clogging and makes the filters dirtier.

There are two trap doors on the cup: one at the top, one at the bottom.

If you use the top door, you can pour the cup’s contents. But I seriously recommend using the bottom door since it’s easier and more hygienic to do. Hold the cup on top of a trash can, bottom down. Release the bottom door with the release tab and gravity will pull everything down into the trash can.
  • How to Clean the Filters
There are three filters in the NV360. In the pre-motor filtration segment, there’s a foam filter and a felt filter. They can be accessed by removing the dust cup. The manual indicates that the filters should be washed and air-dried once every three months or so.

Then, you have the post-motor segment consisting of a sole HEPA filter. This filter can last significantly longer than the pre-motor ones, with the manual saying that it only needs a wash once every two years. You can access the HEPA filter by removing the vacuum’s front cover.
