COL has games in hand on almost everyone in the conference. They "could" have 60 points if they won the two games they have in hand against MIN. I would consider that they have 58 points right now.

They lost today, I don't care if they've got 5 games in hand, until they've won those games I'm not going to credit them with the points.

As much as I would like to go to a playoff game this year. I just do not believe the Blues will make it. A much more realistic goal would be to finish 9th in the conference and maybe 20th overall. This would hurt our draft a bit but would excite the borderline fans with renewed hope for next season. A top 10 pick is not to shabby as long as Jarmo has his homework done. JM$.02 O...........K

Status update:

Right now Minnesota is on pace for 95 points...meaning the Blues will need 96 points to make the playoffs.

They need 43 points between now and the end of the season, which comes out to an average of 1.792 points per game....which over the course of a full season would give a team 146 points.

In real terms, they have 26 games to go. They'd need to go 21-4-1 to get 43 points in those games.

There's still hope.
