You misunderstand my point. I completely agree with you. I was suggesting the cops tack that ON to his charges. If he indeed was that drunk, that's still his fault, I wasn't trying to make excuses for the kid. this isn't the NBA and NFL, you can't just get away with punching people.hullisgod wrote:I dont think being drunk is any kind of excuse. I have been drunk many a times and have never beaten up a cabbie. You have to be a pretty vile person to assault a 60+ year old man and steal his money drunk or not.
You know I was thinking to myself the other day how I keep hearing about all the stupid crap that sports stars do and I was glad that I don't hear anything negative from the NHL. Over 20 freaking cents...I'll give him a quarter and tell him to keep the 5 cents. Why is he being charge for felony robbery and misdemeanor of theft? Did he steal from the cabbie?WaukeeBlues wrote:You misunderstand my point. I completely agree with you. I was suggesting the cops tack that ON to his charges. From what I read, when the cabbie didn't have enough to give them the 20 cents change, they attacked him and took their money back from him.philco_3 wrote:You know I was thinking to myself the other day how I keep hearing about all the stupid crap that sports stars do and I was glad that I don't hear anything negative from the NHL. I saw an interview with the cabbie on TSN and he said they also stole $100 from him.gaijin wrote:From what I read, when the cabbie didn't have enough to give them the 20 cents change, they attacked him and took their money back from him.philco_3 wrote:You know I was thinking to myself the other day how I keep hearing about all the stupid crap that sports stars do and I was glad that I don't hear anything negative from the NHL. Game won't come out til late September early October, so it could happen. Didn't they change another EA title a while back because of something similar?illownyou wrote:I wonder if its too late for EA to change their coverboy???
They changed Thornton in I think '04 for his antics, then changed in the middle of the release when Heatley had his incident in Atlanta in '05 maybe. I could have the years wrong. But it has happened before.philco_3 wrote:Game won't come out til late September early October, so it could happen. I think that was 2k7, but I think your right. Cause I have a copy of the Thornton one, and then they changed the cover of it.ProngerBlues44 wrote:They changed Thornton in I think '04 for his antics, then changed in the middle of the release when Heatley had his incident in Atlanta in '05 maybe. Smells like if Kane bucks up enuff, the cabbie will drop the charges. Hey, I'm a capitalist, too. More power to him.KC Express wrote:Looks like there might be more to the story:

I'd be happy to take a few shots to the head from a 160 pound douche bag if it meant a big payday. The big question is whether I could keep from choking him out in the process.Leedog wrote:Smells like if Kane bucks up enuff, the cabbie will drop the charges. Hey, I'm a capitalist, too.
