He needs new scenery, that much is basically obvious at this point. For whatever reason, he was playing like a man afire for two seasons and just has not returned to that form. And heck, if we're looking for examples of the payoffs of a "change of scenery trade" there are examples everywhere, at least two off the top of my head:

Tomas Fleischmann. Healthy scratch on the Caps, gets dealt to the Avs now he's kicking some arse with Duchene.

Last season: Guillaume Latendresse. Same basic thing. Gets dealt to Minnesota and became a man afire.

You can't tell me that Army and his staff are scouring the NHL and there is NOBODY rich in the talent department but drastically underperforming and looks as though could fit in the Blues' system.

Hell, get Wideman back here

Boyes won't be here next year. I think Tarasenko will be taking his spot on the team.

I think it's more likely D'Apostrophe gives his spot up to Tapachenko.

Perhaps he remembered there's a thread about him in the Hall of Fame forum (with that lofty 7th goal tonight.)

Ooooh... on pace for 17 goals now! At this pace he'll blow right past his amazing 14 goal total from last year.

Boyes doesn't blow right past anything. Anytime. Anywhere. The truest part of your post is that he blows.

Well, he's streaky. This goal was probably the "up" part of the streak, to be followed by about a 10 game period of complete invisibility.

Was the goal at least a good one or did it bounce in off his ass or something? Anyone see it?

Saw the highlight looked like top shelf goal from the slot and no traffic...pretty to say the least

Boyes fanned on the shot, it was suppose to go top shelf but he whiffed and it fooled mason. Went right between his glove and pad. http://www.stltoday.com/sports/hockey/p ... 9b1e5.html

That's what I saw too. Boyes fanned on it, but it found it's way in anyway. It didn't go upper corner, it went in low...not sure where some of you saw that.

I know this is a ridiculous measure for success, but when do you think we'll see an offensive player on the Blues who cracks the top 50 scorers list?
That is like asking when the Blues are going to win the :cup:

I think the catholic church would be better suited for answering questions about Boyes...

Inappropriate timing?
