The Blues had 7 shots on goal, while The Hawks had only 2. Still, The Blues need to take advantage of the extra man vs. The Hawks' weak (#22 PK team).

Shot attempts were 13-11 in favor of STL. Blues blocked 5 of them. Chicago missed the net on the other 4.

Looking at just the SOG stat is misleading.

More importantly, the Blues had 5 high quality scoring chances to 0 for Chicago.

Maintain this style, please, keeping the Hawks in their end. Offensive zone starts are even at 3, which in my opinion, favors St Louis.

Crappy way to end the period - give up a goal on a late icing.

Another couple of great saves by Elliott.

Lousy end to the period. a bad icing, losing a key faceoff, and bad luck with a double screen. The Blues STILL give up too many goals in the last few seconds of a period. I really think they let up, thinking the other team wont score with only a few seconds left. They could have rested 7 seconds later. They need to play till the buzzer.

Hawks defenseman stopped skating. Shouldn't have been an icing at all. Generous call by the officials led to the late offensive zone faceoff for Chicago.

That being said... Blues have to do better managing the puck in that situation and not ice the damn thing. Don't leave it up to the officials. That's been an issue in both games to this point.
