Sure felt like that. Husso was not awesome and it seemed like the team didn't have the same confidence once he came in. Also would be great if a few more players got going offensively.flyingnote38 wrote: ↑Sat May 21, 2022 8:49 pmkadri the #1 star
pretty sure we'd have won if Binnington hadn't gotten injured

Berube post game mentioned pucks didn't get deep enough in the 2nd and 3rd was part of the issue, while he refused to comment on the BS interference call on Buchnevich. Take away that bogus call and the game stays tied at that point. I totally don't get the call when Buchnevich was stationary and the Avs player skated into him with Buchnevich not changing position. There have been more blatant examples of interference which have not been called.

Kadri is massively full of shit. He claims Rosen was the reason he crashed into Binnington.

Really concerned how the Blues will handle the Avs forecheck without Binnington.

Lindgren recalled. Binnington out long term. Don't know how good Lindgren is at puck handling, but Husso is going to get the next start. Hopefully, he won't be as hesitant as he looked in Game 3. Really wish he would've gotten that last regular season start vs the Avs, so he would've known what to expect. He faced Colorado twice last season, once in relief and once as the starter. He's never won vs Colorado, which doesn't bode well. I'd seriously consider starting Lindgren since the Avs have never faced him.

Media outlets are reporting Kadri has been receiving "racially-motivated" threats.
Because, you know, if MacKinnon had run Binnington and injured him, no one would have spared a second thought.

I'm not as blood boiled as some are.
I don't think Kadri intended to hurt Binner. I DO think he was going for a loose puck and in the act of it went "oh no I ran into the goalie!"
There was intent to throw Binnington off his game by getting in his grill under the guise of a hockey play. I don't know how you can say there was specific intent to injure.
Doesn't mean I'm happy about it. Doesn't mean I don't think Kadri should get walloped for running your goalie. But I don't know he meant to hurt him. Every NHL player tries to do things and be physical to throw other players off their game. Happens every single game.
There's like 5 different camera angles that also make Kadri look worse/better depending on which angle you're watching the play from.
(a) This play happened in like 5 seconds. I get annoyed when I see screenshots of particular ways a guy's skate or stick are positioned in a fraction of a second. Stop. It's a 2 second play. The guy is just acting/reacting.
(b) Rosen does make contact with him and at least from the top camera angle Kadri was arguably going more to Binner's left before he collides with Rosen and gets redirected to the left. At THAT point is where I think Kadri goes "Oh NoEs I cAn'T sToP MySeLf" and then rolls with it and runs Binnington.
Just my $.02
