They got a little more respect from most Hockey publications this year but they are still way under the radar. People don't realize how good this team was WITHOUT Erik Johnson and Paul Kariya. It makes a huge difference having those two back and a lot of people don't realize it. Coupled with negligible roster moves allowing the players to gel further. This team can be scary. They just need to actually do it.

Obviously it's very early, but last year's team was resilient even when they were terrible early on. And it looks like they have the makeup of the gritty team that doesn't give up, jus tlike last year's team. i love it.

Tkachuk is the exception. I did NOT like hearing him say that "We can not intimidate a great team like the Red Wings."

Awesome game, we won the battles everywhere, especially when Perron came out with the puck against Lidstrom on the board.. The timeout Murray took, was a great time for it.

Hopefully we can keep up the offense and the power play the rest of the season, couldn't have started the season out any better.

I have watched a lot of Red Wings games and hate their announcing. You can tell that they are Detroit's announcers.

Having said that, was anyone else happy to hear someone else call the Blues that wasn't John Kelly? I would take someone rooting for Detroit everyday of the week over Kelly!

I am not a Pang fan, but I thought he did a pretty good job of commentating and keeping the Wings guy in his place. There was a couple of times where the Wings guy wanted to go off on a tangent and Pang would just say, "oh, that was a clean hit."

Ken Daniels got a little more excited over the Red Wings goals, but that was go be expected. I knew he couldn't play it down the middle.
It wasn't bad though. He did a good job.

I didn't remember at first that they were doing the dual commentary thing. So I was complaining in flashchat about the detroit bias a bit. But, looking back at it it was done fairly well and I liked hearing the different viewpoints.
