Just saw a tweet that Fabbri was guaranteed, at minimum, 9 games at the NHL level this season. Can anyone confirm this?

I don't know about guaranteed but when Andy Strickland was on NHL radio yesterday he indicated that Fabbri would get at least the 9 game tryout most likely, yes.

I think he has to be.

Second line: Tarasenko, Lehtera, Schwartz

No way Brouwer cracks those lines, save for injury.

I'm hoping Army isn't done yet and at least one of Ott / Bergy is taken off our hands if not both. That opens up possible room for youth.

Injuries are bound to happen though, so I figure you'll see some crack the lineup that way. I'm sure we'll see them at some point. On the flip side, I'd rather they get more reps in the AHL than sit in the press box up in the NHL, at least to start.

I think Brodziak will catch pressbox duty not infrequently. I would like to see a clearout of lower line plodders so some of the kids can get a look.

Brouwer on the third with a full year of Jaskin gives that line a much better look. Can't believe the plan is to have Berglund center it..the thought of Brodziak or Ott there is worse though. I hope more moves are coming.

They need to plug Barbashev into that 3rd line center role, and if Berglund is still on the team, drop him to the 4th line. If Ott is still here, he moves to the wing. Basically, Reaves/Ott/Brodziak all have to split the time - this assumes Rattie/Fabbri isn't also here as those two should also be given time ahead of Reaves/Ott/Brodziak. Issue with having all of those here - salary cap becomes a problem, so someone has to go or we are stuck with more of mostly the same from last season in terms of the 3rd and 4th lines.
