My thoughts exactly. Not only do I not recall the last time we've scored a powerplay goal but we've given up two shorty's in two series now. Blues should just ask if they can just take 2 minutes off the game clock and forfeit the extra man. We'd be better off. Sheesh.

And - thinking out loud - didn't the Blues also go on to win the other game in which they gave up the shorty?

The Blues have given up 3 short-handed goals and won all 3 games. Gotta love hockey. It's not weird at all, but it completely destroys the "momentum" narrative.

That's all well and good, but as the playoffs progress the opponents aren't getting any easier. Fixing the power play pronto would go a long way in making me a whole lot more comfortable about this series and a potential SCF. Right now I feel like game 2 was more a fortunate series of events that led to a fluke win. They should have won 6-1, not 4-2.
