Hawks are scoring a lot of goals...but they're giving up a ton as well.

This will be a nice test for Halak and the Blues defense.

Sometimes I hate looking at the standings. Some teams have played 3 games...others have played 6. So being up by a couple or down by a couple doesn't mean a whole lot.

And why does it ALWAYS seem like EVERY YEAR we have a couple games in hand on almost everyone for the first couple months of the season?? It's always the same thing...we're down by a 2, 4, 6 points or so, but we've got two or three games in hand. At this point in the season we're never the team that has played 6 games when everyone else has played 3, 4 or 5.

With as much as the Blues are peppering goalies with shots, and with as many goals as the Hawks are giving up...it wouldn't surprise me to see the Blues win this game by the score of something like 5-3.

Pretty much the same thing I said elsewhere...we'll either blow them out or lose another heartbreaker.

Let's see if we can cut down on those turnovers in our own end a little tonight.

We do that again, and they'll end up in the back of the net in Chicago.

While I know the Blues have been, overall, playing much better than they did for Skeltor last season, they've still proven over the past couple of games that they're either still unable to seal the deal or unable to get ahead by enough that they're not playing catch up all game. At least one of the two games (Nashville or Dallas) should have been a win.

I appreciate that they're taking a shitload of shots, which I think was a major problem last season, but until some more of those shots start finding the back of the net instead of the goalies chest, they're fluff shots for the scoresheet and nothing else.
