At the end of an article about the Devils, said that JD and Army were in attendance at the Rags/Devils game recently and were apparently there scouting the Devils.

Must not be Parise. Don't need to scout him to know he's teh awesome at hockies.

I said it in another post a while back that once Cargill buys the Blues I wouldn't be surprised to see them make a 'welcoming' move which might entail taking on a bit of salary. I wouldn't expect a major move but it will give them some flexibility.

That would go against the "no givebacks" clause New Jersey has.

OK. They can keep Salvador then. Janssen for Parise, straight up.

It is odd that they would need to be scouting anyone. NJ needs to dump salary and all of the high paid guys are well known. Army and JD wouldn't be the ones scouting anyway.

This story is weird.

It's just two hockey guys 'doing their job'. I'm sure they asked...'who are you looking to move?'.....and 'what are you looking for?'. It by no means suggests that something is imminent, but at least they're kicking tires.

Speaking of JD, did anyone see his wife on ch 4 news yesterday. Not too shabby for an old, overweight, bald guy!

So, you are saying JD's wife is an old, overweight, bald guy?

To my understanding they're the frontrunners to purchase the Blues.

Russ Cargill? Option 3?

We need to bear in mind that the source was the NY Post which is the worst excuse for a newspaper in the entire known universe. Their sports section is usually pretty good though, so I just saw it and wanted to pass it along. Maybe they were scouting the Rangers, who knows?
