For a conditional SEVENTH round pick.
Can someone, anyone, tell me why the Blues didn't bother following through on this when it could've helped us out? Hell, give them a definite 6th rounder and I think it's a done deal.

They probably didn't want his ego and disruptiveness in a young locker room.

In order for that to be true, you must also believe that Perron's slow recovery is caused, at least in part, by a lack of desire to return. I don't buy it.theboat wrote:Adding Kovalev=Perron coming back sooner than later.
If Wainright isn't ready for opening day 2012, should we sign Smoltz to get him back sooner?

Nah, it was just a joke. I'm fairly certain he would be playing if he were healthy.cardsfan04 wrote:In order for that to be true, you must also believe that Perron's slow recovery is caused, at least in part, by a lack of desire to return. Man go back a couple of years and tell me that one day Kovalev got traded for a 7th rounder and I would've laughed in ur face...now it doesn't surprise me, he is LAZY, and stubborn....basically (Frank) em.

Still though: Rental player in every sense of the word with only an upside on trying to get some additional scoring going.STLADOGG wrote:Man go back a couple of years and tell me that one day Kovalev got traded for a 7th rounder and I would've laughed in ur face...now it doesn't surprise me, he is LAZY, and stubborn....basically (Frank) em.
