Nah, I never even posted in any of the forums. I've just been creepin em and thought it was kinda funny (more pathetic I guess) how desperate these guys seem to be for a glimmer of hope that hasn't even shined yet. Its like they are determined to justify the trade to themselves no matter what he actually does.

Honestly though, I don't think they need to justify the trade. This is immediately better for us. And, there is a smaller chance of it being a bust for us as Stewart is relatively established already. But, they have the higher ceiling I think. If Johnson turns into what he was supposed to be (and he's still super young, so that could easily happen) and they get something from our pick, they probably "win."

I'm sure lines will get juggled every now and then, and that's fine...but I think you ride this line as long as you can.

I need to see him play more to get a good idea of his style, but it seems to me like Stewart needs to play with some finesse guys. He and Backes are both natural finishers and it's better to spread them out. Seems that way to me anyway.

The issue seems to be centers.

Right now:
Steen, Oshie, and Berlund are an awesome line.
It looks like A Mac, Backes and Stewart will be an awesome line.

Take Stewart away from Backes and who is playing there? Boyes, D'agger or one of the rest of the scrubs who don't generate offense?

Put Stewart out there with Boyes and who???

Keep those two scoring lines together and find a center (McRae) to play with Boyes and Perron when/if Perron returns. No, that line isn't physical nor should it have to be with the opponents physical players trying to deal with the Blues top two lines, which everyone seems to want to break up already.

I agree that this is all very very good for Berglund. Next season he could break out if they don't break things up in the offseason.
