Check out ESPN and you will see it was on his hand in both the ALDS & championship series. F-ing cheater, why didn't Larussa or the Umpires inspect his hand immediatley?? If he's caught with a foreign substance on his hand its an ejection and 10 game suspension.

if a pitcher gets tossed like that, how much of a warmup does the reliever get? That could have thrown a wrench in the tiger's game.

Fact: Rogers had a foreign substance on his left hand
Fact: Rogers changed his story three times about what happened (first he said the umpire didn't say anything about a substance on his hand but he said he needs to speed up the game a bit...second Rogers said he was told to wash it off the dirt so he did...third Rogers said nobody told him to remove it and that he noticed it himself and washed it off, but he didn't notice it until after the inning was over) Well, which is it a$$hole?
Fact: After Rogers washed off the substance, his hand was stained...dirt does not stain your hand
Fact: Rogers had a different story than Lealand and the umpire as to what happened when interviewed after the game

Rogers was flat out lying when he said he didn't notice the substance until after the inning. That's the dumbest thing I have ever heard. A MLB pitcher knows what is on his hands.

Rogers also didn't take his glove off when he went into the dugout when he left the game. He was high fiving his teammates with his glove on...it looked odd and McCarver called him on it.
Guaranteed...he had pine tar in his glove and wasn't going to take that thing off until he got in the clubhouse. Guarandamnteed.

I am EXTREMELEY pissed that the umpires and LaRussa didn't do more about this. LaRussa should have demanded that Rogers' hand, glove and hat be inspected...and if they determine it is pine tar, then Rogers is ejected from the game and suspended for 10 games like the rules say. Then there is no controversey today.

Rogers has an ERA of over 9 for his career in the playoffs...and now all of a sudden he has a 23 inning scoreless streak in the playoffs??? BS.
In each of his playoff games this year, there is video of this same substance on his hand against the Yankees and against Oakland.

Kenny Rogers is a blatant cheater and should be suspended. I don't see how anyone could think he wasn't cheating.

I don't care if a lot of pitchers do it. If they do it and nobody knows, well...they got lucky.
But Rogers got caught, and he should have to pay the price.

If this is true could't the league do something about it even after the fact? If I was commish I wouldn't want it to be known that you can cheat in the postseason and be praised as one of the greats. I think the only fair thing to do is to not let him play again in this series.
