new random observation thread

Since the old one appears to have gone the way of the puffin...

What's the deal with the phrase "clean as a whistle"? I'd think whistles'd be pretty gross, actually, what with all the spit and whatnot.

It came from the anit-doping tests during the 'Bubblicious Bubble Blowing Contest'.

There's supposed to be some organization in a thread about randomness. The organization IS randomness. This stuff you're seeing, aside from the original post, is not randomness, but rather called a "catfight" between two "ladies" with a couple other posts by some other people mixed in. Whilst their comments, or really any comment for that matter, COULD be considered random, those one's aren't because they aren't. It's really that simple. What's so hard to understand about this? I've provided the following examples to further attempt clarification of aforementioned issue:

EXAMPLE OF RANDOM:
I wore snowpants to the gym today.

EXAMPLE OF CATFIGHTING LADIES:
Lady#1: I can spell butterscotch.
Lady#2: Well you're a bitch!
Lady#1: Oh yea?
Lady#2: What3v! n00b!
exeunt stage left

You see? It began as a random comment about being a pretty sweet speller (or in their case, the level of grossness resulting from projectile saliva mixing with meat whistles) but ended in disaster, hence "catfighting ladies".
