the real tragedy here is that no one in the audience had the sack to throw a drink at michael richards. I wouldnt have hesitated for a second to toss a $6 jack and coke on that bastard, hoping to start a chain reaction.

Bad timing, though. I guess they just released another season of Seinfeld on DVD. Jerry was on Letterman to promo that and they made him grovel over a satellite feed...Damage control.

FWIW I really thought the guy was being genuine in his apology last night on Letterman and it was great television to watch unfold for sure. A bit on the rambling side.

I'm not familiar with his standup but apparently he rides the envelope pretty hard and this is clearly some pent up rage that went on.

I think the apology is on CBS.com
