One of the cooler programs for customizing Windows that I have come across...
Object Dock
If you like the animated Mac tool bar, but you are a Windows user, you can install Object Dock.
It's pretty cool, extremely customizable and looks just like the Mac toolbar. http://www.download.com/ObjectDock/3000 ... tag=fd_hed" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Macs suck.

Well, this utility doesn't do anything essentially except change the look of your taskbar and start menu to the Mac taskbar...which is pretty cool.
And I don't dislike Macs...I just like PC's more.
I like Macs and all...the problem is:
1) A comparable PC is much cheaper
2) The software titles available for a PC vastly outnumber what is available for a Mac
3) The commercials lie, a Mac is just as likely to crash as a PC
4) Macs are NOT more user friendly than a PC
I do enjoy the quality craftsmanship of Apple's products. They are designed well and seem to be built solid.
And Vista issues are a problem as opposed to OSX. Now, I haven't been keeping up on the Vista news, since I have XP and haven't made the switch yet. Maybe other software companies are finally releasing patches and compatible versions of things to work with Visa...I dunno.
I have a Mac and a PC at work. I sparingly use the Mac and my PC is my workhorse. I'd love to get a Macbook at home to play around with...but I can never justify the cost when a similar PC laptop is usually around $300-$500 cheaper...sometimes more. And I know you can install Windows on a Mac now by running Parallels...but what's the point? If you're going to run Windows on a Mac, you might as well buy a PC instead...they're cheaper. And from what some of the guys in the office are saying, is that running Windows on a Mac isn't exactly a smooth process...it can be a bit buggy.
3) The commercials lie, a Mac is just as likely to crash as a PC
In my experience tenfold more. My PC never crashes unless it overheats. Every Mac I've ever used crashed about every few hours for no reason whatsoever.

Are you one of those people that last used a Mac in 1996 and still bitches about it to this day?

Nope. I did grow up on the things.. All we had in our house til I was about 14.. And they were total junk.. But I've used several this decade and couldn't stand them.

I find Macs more frustrating because I'm not used to them. I don't understand how the OS is laid out at all, and I can never find the program I want or make it do what I want. My Mac Mini has been in a box in a closet for over a year. I'll hook it up again at some point, but I don't really plan to use it for anything. I use my HP laptop for almost everything when I'm at home. Still running Windows XP and it rarely crashes.
