I hate bike-to-work day. Bunch of morans out there disregarding traffic laws, trying to either get hit by a car or run over pedestrians like me.

My friggin stupid dog managed to eat something he shouldn't have again, and spent the weekend at the vet. No surgery this time, but he still racked up $2100 in vet fees somehow.

Yeah, that's more than what we paid for his surgery 2 years ago when he ate a bunch of carpet and got stopped up. We had to take him in on Friday, which made it an emergency admission because of the holiday. I'm sure that had a lot to do with the cost.

One of the wife's dogs lost its appetite for a week or so a year or so before we met. The vet eventually decided to open her (the dog, not the wife) up and poke around. Couldn't find anything, sewed the dog up, billed my wife $600 in 1996 dollars, and the dog felt like eating again.

Almost as good are the ones who can't figure out how to fill out the damn form in the first place, so they submit it done all half-assed (no problem description, only part of a name, etc.). I enjoy quoting it back to them in the email when I ask them what the hell it is that they actually want; my ultimate goal is to make them feel as stupid as I possibly can.

Uh... I'm not a qualified tech working in the industry - just a computer shade-tree mechanic.
The helping friends/family with the computer problems, has been just me getting their problems straightened out, free of charge.
No job security for me.

I (Franking) hate the printer at work.. It ALWAYS has to be told a minimum of 2 times to print.. And it doesn't take a while then print twice.. It just automatically ignores the first time I tell it to print, and often times ignores the first 3-4 times I tell it.. Oh and a lot of time when I hit print it just pops up "can not print right now"... No explanation or anything.. It's just taking a f*cking smoke break or something.. So I have to do other stuff, take a dump, go out to lunch, come back and tell it to print again then MAYBE it will feel like doing it..

If I ever get laid off I'm going hardcore office space with that thing on my way out.

I was pissed at first, but I've already got leads on a few things and now have started to look forward to not having to support this shitty freakin' software anymore. I can't wait to support things that actually work, so that I can rest assured that 100% of all calls or service requests are due to the profound retardation of the end user.
