I normally shy away from the Brewer-bashing, but this thread's effing hilarious.

It could always be worse, I could be a Cubs fan. (But please, if you could spare me the parallels between the respective organizations, I'd really appreciate it).

Sorry I know it's off topic but obviously you haven't listened to much metal if you think Kirk Hammet and James Hetfield (sp?) are the two of the best guitarists in metal. Ever heard of Dimebag Darrell (RIP)? And that's just sticking with American Metal. You want to hear the best metal musicians? Listen to Ettore Rigotti from Disarmonia Mundi. Dude plays Drums, Keyboard, Bass, and guitar and is amazing at all of the above. Other notable mentions include Jesper Stromblad from In Flames, Alexi Laiho from Children of Bodom, and anything from Soilwork. Cream of the crop melodic metal from all of those bands, if anyone cares, which I know nobody does! hahaBattra wrote:Depends on what you're looking for.
For my money, James is the second best rhythm guitarist in metal, second only to Dave Mustaine. As for leads...oh god yes...Andy LaRoque would kill Kirk Hammet...beats Kirk's rhythm playing too.
