Well, again, like I mentioned earlier...in my case, I didn't buy my laptop. My work has provided it to me. And I work for the state...so...actually...you helped pay for my laptop.
Oh wait, you live in MO...so I guess you didn't help pay for it. But some of you guys did.
But hey...I'd be happy to toss you a few bucks if I was in the top 5% of earners in the country...or hell, even the top 20%. But unfortunately, I am not.
He still shows up on some other boards sometimes, I think. He's not too far from me, up in Ft. Collins at CSU.

If I was in the top 20%, I'd have plenty of expendable income...so it's either spend the excess on a 6th luxury car to try and fill up a 10 car garage, or give back to the country so it can help people who are less fortunate.
Hell, we donate to charities as it is...right now. So don't say I don't give something back...because I do.

If Wikipedia is right, the income cutoff to be in the top 20% is $91,705 (that's per family, not individual).

As reliable a source as that is that seems awfully low. But, what do I know...

It really does.. My family would have fallen above that (at least in my teen years) and my parents are a school teacher and a state worker.

Which would mean my household is not in the top 20%.
You give to charity. big deal. not enough. the government, you know that real friendly "guy"? is going to confiscate more and give it to crackheads and people like blue boy.

Think it was random?
Nobody really knows.. Both the buildings on either side of us are tall apartment buildings that are both abandoned. My guess is somethin was going down in the one at that side of the building (one of the Plaza Square apt buildings) such as a drug deal or somethin and a bullet wound up comin at our building.. But who knows.. The person whose cube was hit did have a former client that threatened to kill her a while back and has access to firearms so it could have been intentional, but I doubt he bought a rifle with a scope, steaked out from the building over, took 1 shot, missed, and left.

Was she in her cubical when it happened?
Yeah, she was there.. It's times like these I'm glad my cube is tucked away far from any window.
