Holy crap!!!
They started shingling my house today!!!
It only took about five weeks after the trusses were put up before they started shingling.

I just--as in, less than 10 minutes ago--had an interview for the same thing. I'd be doing the same job I am now, but with all of those perks. So if anybody's got nothing better to do and wants to cross a coupla fingers for me, I'd appreciate it.

Congrats guys!

At work, we're going through a restructuring/reorganizing of our entire dept. due to a merge with another dept.
There are supposed to be pay increases along with new job titles for some of us...me included...hopefully.

We'll see.

Thanks all! I'm a contractor right now, so the job I'm trying to get is the same one, but as a FTE. Apparently, everyone else in the department has decided that these jobs are the ones to have, 'cause something like 30 have applied, so now we won't hear for a couple of weeks, at least. I so can't wait to go through another few weeks of unending tension and drama. Bah.

The rain predicted for next week shouldn't slow things down much on the house because the roof is done and the windows are in!!!!!!
Now they just need to get the wraparound porch done, and put up the shingles and stone and the exterior will be about done. :cup:

woooo!!! I just found out that I qualify for the 2-8 year vacation time plan. I am now getting 5 more days off than I origninally thought I was. This is awsome!!!

plus, someone returned my phonecall, but i wasn't at my desk to get it..., and I now have work to do!! this day keeps getting better and better!!!
