I hope this is coming from the new ownership. Because if the current GM Josh Morin and his staff of lousy sales thought of this....it makes me sick. The current logo is fine. It won't increase clothing and merchandise sales nor will it increase ticket sales. The Rivermen front office needs replaced with a real sales force and a GM who doesn't want to hear himself talk on the mic all the time. They are in the last year of their lease with the Peoria Civic Center. What they need to concentrate on is using that trump card and demand better staffing at Rivermen games. Demand more than one concession stand is open during games. Replace the crappy jumbo tron like they promised 3 years ago. The list goes on... Dont worry about a damn logo...

Something related to the Rimouski logo may not be bad. Instead of having a goofy looking "river man," just have the main part of the logo be a boat.

I'm all for it. I never did like the gay sailor look with a puck in it's mouth. Stop letting 10 yr olds design logos.

Looks like they did let the 10 yr. olds design the "RIVS" logo that was used the last 2 games last season on a dark jersey and will be used on a white jersey this year. I guess the last home stand. Jerseys don't even look good as the Peoria Jr. Rivermen white jersey. Jr. Rivermen use the real Rivermen jersey as their dark. Or it may be the other way around.

The Rivermen 'Mariner-Chewing-On-a-Puck' image looks a THOUSAND times better than quite a few NHL Logos. Don't hate.

The Rivermen will be giving away the home white 10 year old designed jerseys to children under 12 on Saturday December 17th. They also will wear the white version of the 10 year old designed jerseys tomorrow, but they will also wear them the last game of the season and auction them off after the game on April 13th.
With the Rivermen wearing these jerseys tonight and last home game of the season, the jerseys will be worn by multiple players. Mike Radja is slated to wear Brett Sonne's #12 and Maury Edwards is to wear Mark Cundari's #15. Ryan Palmer will also be given a currently injured players jersey for tonights game.

So the mistake white jersey is just a Rivermen home white with an abveviated form of the Rivermen name on the front. I thought the blue jersey last year was half assed with the better logo on the shoulder. This mistake of a jersey has the Blues logo on one shoulder and the "30 year" logo on the other. Some fans went to the Rivermen store and tried to get something with that 30 year logo, nothing exists. The do have a polo shirt with last years mistake jersey shoulder logo. Peoria skyline with Peoria Rivermen in a circle around it.
