I guess our organization's T.J. quota has been reached, so we traded him for Jack Bauer's brother. Oh, and...
Mink, 31, spent last season with the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League (AHL) and posted 37 points on 20 goals and 17 assists to go along with 86 penalty minutes in 67 outings. His totals for goals and penalty minutes ranked him fourth and sixth respectively among Americans’ skaters while his three goals in six playoff games were good enough for second best on the team. The 6-3, 220-pound right-winger has spent the past nine seasons in the AHL including stints with Portland, Hershey, Worcester and Rochester totaling 568 games and 401 points including 203 goals, 198 assists and 681 penalty minutes. His most productive year came during the 2006-07 campaign in which he registered 31 goals and 32 assists for 63 points in 61 games with the Worcester Sharks. In addition, the University of Vermont alum has made seven NHL appearances with the Washington Capitals serving two penalty minutes.
I like it. It adds a veteran to the young Rivermen lineup. Fast wasn't exactly turning heads down there anyway.

The Blues also signed Dave Scatchard to an NHL-AHL 2-way. I hope that their having those two to call up won't stop them from going after one more top 9 forward to round out 3 scoring lines and help have enough scoring forwards to man BOTH power play units, and knock Colaiacovo off the point of the 2nd unit. In any case, they needed more veteran forwards to go with their youth (Sonne, McRae, Nigro, etc.)

Mink has played in 5 NHL games since 2001...and Scatchard hasn't played much in the last few seasons due to concussion issues. Neither one is making the Blues roster.
I'm not seeing a word about Weaver or Scatchard anywhere on TSN
