its not like its big news to everyone, but there is no chance of seeing perron in any of the remaining games.

Re: PERRON OFFICIALLY DONE THIS YEAR
Not a surprise. Had pretty much accepted this for the last few months. Nothing you can do for something like what Perron's dealing with. Scary stuff. Just hope he progresses during the offseason.

I know everyone hates Cindy Crosby, but it looks like he is done for the season, too. Same type of issues.

Re: PERRON OFFICIALLY DONE THIS YEAR
Just please, please be good to go for training camp. Late start to the season at the most. I know it's nothing he has too much control over, so it's more a hope than any affirmative demand for Perron to do anything but still

Re: PERRON OFFICIALLY DONE THIS YEAR
In all reality, doesn't this really make you wonder about the odds of him playing next year?
And then if he does play, will he be as fearless? How long will it take him to get back his legs and timing? Will he be more susceptible to more concessions?
At this point, I don't think it would be responsible to view his expectations any greater then you do a player like Taransanko.
60/40 that he plays, 50/50 that he's as good, 20/80 that he takes that 'next step' that we would have been expecting from him.
Sure, we know he could play before he got hurt. Sure, we think he could be here next year, but none of this is guaranteed what so ever.
I'm glad he's being responsible about it and getting himself right, I wish him nothing but the best, but the team should approach the offseason thinking any contribution form him next year would be nothing but a welcome surprise. If you plan on him not being here, it only makes your top 9 better if he can contribute.

pretty much doubt it. He hasn't even seen ice time since november. He would be worse off than our AHL call ups. We need him to shake off the headaches and look forward to see him next year.glen a richter wrote:But will he be back for teh playoffs? Blooz are on a tear, could make it!

Re: PERRON OFFICIALLY DONE THIS YEAR
WTF why suspend him now? This makes no sense.
...I still favor a game for game suspension for however long a player is out, thus making players thinking about cleaning someones clock.

I doubt we'll ever see him in the Bluenote again. It's been months, and he can't even skate.

Re: PERRON OFFICIALLY DONE THIS YEAR
I don't know where to put the odds, but it concerns me too. That being said, Justin Morneau missed a LONG time with a concussion (~1/2 of 2010 and wasn't ready for Spring training). But, he is playing now. Comparing players, especially when one is in a non-violent sport, isn't going to tell us a ton. But, I will be more optimistic if Morneau plays well this year.DaDitka wrote:In all reality, doesn't this really make you wonder about the odds of him playing next year?

There should be a shutdown though, all exaggerating and sarcasm aside, the closest this team will get to the playoffs this season is buying tickets to attend games elsewhere. Why risk Perron going all Eric Lindros on us?

Sheesh for the love of GOD to not associate Perron's injury to Adam Deadmarsh if at all possible.Portland Blues wrote:I figured he was hanging out at the food court in the mall with Adam Deadmarsh.STLADOGG wrote:Also beating up old people and kicking babies.ohio BLUES wrote:Perron is too busy learning Spanish and getting his pilot's license to play teh hockies these days.
