Now, it's over.

Now, it's over.
So the first time you say that the Blues are done (which should be in about two weeks), I'll make sure you remember this.

If I had to choose, there is no other way.

I think we would all like to see you in a Dead Things jersey....

I got a ton of shit at that Lounge shithole talking about this. I jokingly said he was no better than Skip Shumaker.
Well, if anyone still posts over there, tell those mensas to check out the playoff stats for Holliday and Skip. Skip wins.![]()
Signing Holliday was freaking stupid. he sucks in the field, strikes out too much, and generally blows.
Am I wrong?

Hell, his first half split has him hitting .324 w/ a .995 OPS, 14 HR and 49 RBI over 67 games. Over 162 games, that projects to 34HR/118RBI w/ a high average and OPS. Those kind of numbers generally draw discussion for the MVP. His 2nd half obviously was not nearly as good. I don't know if that just means he was overachieving the first half or if injuries hindered the 2nd half.
I agree that his batter's eye is pretty weak as well as his defense though. And, if he's always injured, he will never live up to his contract.

Yeah, it seems like years ago.....but Holiday was clearly a dominate player for quite a stretch there.
I think he crumbled mentally after all these damn injuries and he was trying to right the ship whit one swing of the bat.
I believe some time off will certainly do him well, and he will be his usually All-Star self next year.
