Right, Elliott has been making those saves. The point I'm making is, it's not like these are those consistent Legace/Mason tricklers/back breakers from yesteryear. Halak has also made some big saves tonight too. If he had some help on offense tonight, it may be a different story.theohall wrote:Both goals were on 2 on 1 breaks. However, both times Halak had a clear view of the puck and the shooter. While the Blues players left Halak out to dry, those are the saves Elliot is making when the Blues in front of him break down.
Halak is doing a better job of tracking the puck and not giving up rebounds, which was the problem before.

Sloppy game, but the Wild played real well. Just got outworked, that can't happen.

Well, at least we're not Toronto or Columbus.

Halak is playing much better, but it looks like a different team in front of him. I don't know if they don't trust him or what, but they sure aren't playing well in front of him

Losing 1-2 instead of 0-7 or 2-9 does make it not seem as bad.kodos wrote:Toronto is tied for second overall in he league.ohio BLUES wrote:Well, at least we're not Toronto or Columbus.

Why would we want to be there? This time last year, we were first in the league, and the rest is history.kodos wrote:Toronto is tied for second overall in he league.ohio BLUES wrote:Well, at least we're not Toronto or Columbus.
But no, I was really referring to the lost-by-seven-and-got-totally-embarrassed-on-the-ice part.
