Lucas Park Grille
So, I have been here before and it was great. Tonight, a fellow Blues fan and I went there following tonights shootout loss to Nashville and were turned away when they informed us that no St Louis Blues hats or gear was allowed inside. So, (Frank) Lucas Park. No Blues Fans Allowed!!!!

Re: Lucas Park Grille
No, Blues fans in general were told in general, not allowed.

Re: Lucas Park Grille
Wait, they actually know what Hockey 'gear' LOOKS LIKE let alone know that the ones you were wearing were from the St. Louis Blues? Then again, it makes sense. I'm sure the Capital of Country Music didn't wanna be upstaged by Blues music

Re: Lucas Park Grille
Was it just Blues gear or all sports gear in general? If it was specifically just Blues stuff that's bullshit. Why turn away $?

Businesses can refuse service to patrons based on their attire. No shirt, no shoes, no service. You can't get into some bars in St. Louis if you are wearing plain white shirts, dress like a gangsta, etc.goon attack wrote:maybe they were (Frank) with you.

I moved to Cincinnati a couple years ago, and this place has about 5 or 6 "Pittsburgh Steelers" bars. It's interesting, because the Bengals and Steelers are huge rivals (albeit a pretty one-sided rivalry). It would be like someone putting a Red Wings bar in St. Louis or Chicago.
Anyway, if you go in and cheer for the other team, or even say anything negative about the Steelers, you're out. There are always brawls in and around the places, because like I said...putting a bar dedicated to an arch rival in the other city is kinda asking for it.
Not really the same thing as what happened to you, but still pretty retarded.

There are steeler's bars (Franking) everywhere. I think every major city has atleast one. I've actually been to one in Aman, Jordan.Ruutu15 wrote:I moved to Cincinnati a couple years ago, and this place has about 5 or 6 "Pittsburgh Steelers" bars. Re: Lucas Park Grille
Odd... I wonder if it's a recent thing?
I used to go in there a handful of times during the season with my Blues gear on and never had any issues. Granted, I haven't been there this year so that's apparently changed.
The shits of it is, they sponsor a shuttle to the game along with Flannery's and Rosalita's.

If you don't know the story, it went out of business because they refused entry to a man with dreadlocks. He was a lawyer and won a huge judgment against them.
In other words, make it racial/ethnic somehow and you have a case.

Re: Lucas Park Grille
I would not patronize an establishment where the employees were dressed with their pants low and their asses hanging out... so why should a responsible business owner allow someone to come into their establishment looking like a total jackshithead?
Edit: This post was intended to comment on Goon's response, not the original post. There's no justifiable reason to refuse service to a person wearing Blues attire... unless it was Bluenote underwear and everyone could see it.
Edit 2: I'm not saying a person wearing dreads is a jackshithead, I'm suggesting that in some cultures it's considered acceptable to wear your pants around your ankles and that's just (Franking) nasty.
