Boooooo! to Army for failing to get the paperwork in to activate Gunnarsson.
Did that really happen? That's a major enough mistake that I would question if it was really accidental.
Armstrong already admitted he made a mistake.

As Curt said, after the first 10 minutes the Blues did some things really well in this game. They hardly gave up any odd-man breaks. After blocked shots, they had good breakouts and actually did get odd-man rushes. Even after odd-man rushes, they hustled back defensively and seemed to have guys in the right places to limit what Detroit could do offensively. Lots of Detroit shots were "easy" saves with them being forced to shoot from outside the dots. Elliott also caught a break when Datsyuk missed the net after his own rebound, followed by Statsny making two nice stick saves after Datsyuk missed.

Jaskin's goal after starting at his own goal line and getting the puck near the blue line, then the move was awesome! That's an example of excellent awareness both before he got the puck, defensively, and what to do offensively when the Backes got the turnover. Backes, the Center, and Jaskin, the Winger had switched positions defensively, then both read the play perfectly off the turnover to setup the goal. Would like to see more of that.

Steen's BS penalty toward the end. When he gets out of the box, he skates straight to the ref and the ref has both his hands up to Steen, basically acknowledging he blew the call. If the Red Wings guy who got hit didn't were his chin strap so loose, I doubt the call gets made. From a distance, with his helmet flopping loose, it looked like an elbow and could easily be missed at full speed.

Mrazek made some very good saves on quality chances Blues set up with their forecheck.

This was a "hard work" game and they got the result for that work. Kind of reminded me of the Wild playoff series with the Blues playing the role of the Wild. Everybody back defensively when they needed to be, yet still getting odd-man chances and turnovers off the forecheck. Hard to be two places at once, but the Blues seemed to pull it off.

If you bet the over (4.5) syllables that Pierre McGuire uses to pronounce Pietrangelo, you win.

I don't know why it drives me nuts so much, but there is only 1 'a' in Pietrangelo.

As bad as Ken Wilson saying Pet-Ree Klima back in the day, and he was the only one who did it. Kept wondering where he got the extra vowel from in Petr.
