YES! Schenn!
*edit: they may change it to Petro's goal. Looks like it deflected in off the Canucks D-man before Schenn touched it.

Sundqvist can't convert on the 2-on-1 at the end of the period, but the Blues head into the 3rd with a 3-1 lead.

Wow!!! The Blues actually score on the 5 on 3!!!! - and another PP goal to boot. Schenn is really playing tough, going to the hard places. The Blues from last year's playoffs are back. They're now on top of The Canucks as soon as the puck comes near them. The smothering backcheck and crushing forechecks are back. It's amazing that both last night and tonight, they seem to get more energy as the game moves along. I was worried that they might tire out in The 3rd because of using more energy, but they had the most energy in the OT. I'm back to feeling goodabout this series. I just hope that Thomas can come back and play at 100% in The 3rd.

Cauncks to the PP. Don't let them back in the game.

Another good PK by the Blues. I don't know what they put in their water bottles, but it worked.

That tap on the thigh was the weakest "slash" I've ever seen in 70 years of watching hockey! But good kill, anyway.

Another penalty on the Blues.
At least they can ice the puck now.

NICE WIN. Solid game all around, from passing to defense to special teams.
You have to stick with Allen at this point. Never thought I would say that again.

I will also say, with the level of energy the Blues have played in these two back-to-backs against a younger team, they have absolutely NO excuse to ever look tired in a game.

Like you said Robb, the boys are back.
I don't know what that crap was that we were watching games 1 & 2 and even big parts of game 3 but last night they were CLEARLY back to form and dominated most of that game. Deserved to win. Fantastic.

That looked like the Stanley Cup winning team even without Tarasenko, Steen, Barbashev and Binnington.
The Blues, other than Game 1, have dominated 5-on-5 play, and they finally got the PK working. Here's to more of that Wednesday night and some "home' magic.

According to the NHL, Tarasenko is leaving Edmonton to return to St. Louis to have his shoulder re-evaluated by doctors.
Since he will probably have to quarantine again before returning to the team, I'm guessing we won't be seeing him anytime soon, whether or not he is medically cleared to play.

I think he's done for this playoff run. Something either happened or he's still having issues. He didn't look good at all basically at any point in the return to play. I hope he's ok long term but I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous about his long term prognosis. This could be bad.gaijin wrote: ↑Tue Aug 18, 2020 11:09 amAccording to the NHL, Tarasenko is leaving Edmonton to return to St. Louis to have his shoulder re-evaluated by doctors.

Question from the Athletic: Any chance that this is a mental thing, in terms of lack of confidence in being able to play wihout injuring it? Could he be dealing with normal soreness and just afraid to go 100%, or are they pretty sure they are dealing with a re-injured shoulder?
JR: Could be. That's what the Blues would be hoping. But he says it doesn't feel right.
