New Hockey Site to Launch Today

Chris Kerber is launching a new website at noon today, (Friday).
http://www.hockeychats.com

Designed and implemented by...ahem, yours truly, this site will be primarily showcasing articles and audio interviews from NHL broadcasters.
The idea being that the broadcasters are always with the team. They travel with the team, talk with members of the team daily, and have access to more information than most...so their insight should be pretty good.

Those currently on board as contributors:
Chris Kerber - Blues
Darren Pang - Blues
John Kelly - Blues
Dave Goucher - Bruins
Dave Mishkin - Lightning
George Csolak - Hockey writer
Pete Weber - Predators

Kerber expects more broadcasters to jump on board over time...but the current list of contributors is pretty impressive.

Anyway, it should be pretty cool, as long as the content stays fresh and there is something new every day or so...which is what he is planning on.

Feel free to check it out after it goes live at noon today.

Visitors are encouraged to register with the site.
Registering allows you to comment after articles or audio pieces and will probably, eventually allow you access to parts of the site not accessible to unregistered visitors.

Visitors can also submit guest columns, and the best ones will regularly be put on the site.

I'll have to check it out.

Navigations seems a bit slow though. Site getting hammered on it's opening day??

Maybe.
It also might be the host...or some of the modules/plugins that are installed in the CMS.
I run the same CMS for my business' site on my server, and it runs much faster.
