As you said in the other thread, keep winning each series and that's how you make the playoffs. In a 4 game series on the road, I'll be satisfied with 2 of 4 though I guess. 3 of 4 would be awesome.

Definitely. And a sweep would be monumental. But I won't put the cart before the horse. Seems like in recent years, the Cardinals tend to play well at Miller Park. Hopefully I didn't jinx us by saying that.cardsfan04 wrote:As you said in the other thread, keep winning each series and that's how you make the playoffs. A sweep would be insane. It's way too early to be looking at the standings (no matter how fun it is lol), but leaving Milwaukee up 5.5 games on them and at least .5 and 2 games on Pittsburgh and Cincinnati, respectively, would be huge.dmiles2186 wrote:Definitely. Re: Series Thread: Cards @ Brewers (5/2-5/5)
After the Cards 6 run inning last night, I sent a txt to a friend that said, 'I think 6 is a big enough cushion for the bullpen.'
JUST enough.
JUST enough.

At least they held on I guess, but that's crazy.
What's REALLY crazy is that Boggs got sent down (OK, that part makes sense) and Carlos Martinez got called up from AA after missing ST and only having made 3 starts so far this year. Hopefully he's ready.

And, we might have found a pitcher worse than Boggs. Descalso just hit a 2R HR to put the Cards up 6-5. Waino had a pretty awful day (5.1IP/11H/5ER/1HBP). But, nice to see the team pick him up right after he's taken out of the game. Hopefully we can hold on and take the first 3 of the series.

A rather up and down game yesterday, but pulled it out. Definitely not going to say I don't care about a win today, but they get a definite pass from me if they lose. A sweep would be so huge though.

Cards up 6-0 early. Not over yet, but in really good shape for a sweep right now.

Wow, we really went into Milwaukee and swept a 4 game series. I mean, I think Milwaukee is pretty damn mediocre, but that's still a big feat. Best record in NL!

Pretty crazy! I figured after we had talked about it, there was no way a 4 game sweep would happen. Always great to beat up on other NL Central teams too!cardsfan04 wrote:Wow, we really went into Milwaukee and swept a 4 game series.
