RIP Bryan Burwell
Sad news this morning. Had no idea he was sick. I know he could be polarizing, but he was a great writer. The tributes that are out there on Twitter and elsewhere are so heartfelt. Sad day.

I didn't know it either. I also didn't know how well-liked he was nationally. He's trending 2nd on Twitter right now.

I had no idea either! It seems he didn't tell anyone he was sick except close friends. I heard it on the radio this morning.
RIP

Re: RIP Bryan Burwell
I NEVER seemed to agree with him on anything.
He had confrontational and arrogant opinions when it came to sports.
I didn't much care for his radio show because of that.
But that's what sports talk is all about...guys discussing, debating, disagreeing and having a back and forth why they disagree.
I've heard he was a really good guy.
It's doubly sad that he was diagnosed with cancer just two months ago, and he's gone already. Talk about fast and all of a sudden. Scary to think that that could conceivably happen to anyone at any time. Sheesh.

Re: RIP Bryan Burwell
Yeah, he told friends that he gets a disease blacks never get, skin cancer. It's not never though but he is right that it is very rare among blacks.
I don't think he ever talked or wrote about hockey though. He will forever be known for that infamous phone call from Brenda Warner during the Rams glory days.
