The Blues looked a LOT better in The 2nd. They can't let down for a second in The 3rd, if they want to win this game.

The undermanned Blues win a big one, 4-2. They move to 3-1 without Shattenkirk and Fabbri.

They withstood a spirited 1st Period storm from The Oilers, and played tenaciously all game. Hard to pick 3 stars for The Blues in this game. They had about 12 or so. A real team effort.

Thanks for the updates Robb! I couldn't catch the game tonight and it was nice to watch your updates.

I love how we're ruining it all for McDavid so far :-D Nothing against the lad, but it's still fun. Also, good to see all our four goals scored by different guys.

Good, solid road game to get us to 3-1. At times we looked a little sloppy but the talent gap between us and Edmonton is apparent. And really, I never felt like we were going to lose this game.

I'm continually impressed by Brouwer. I really thought he was just going to be a rich man's Jason Arnott. A big body that could throw his weight around and chip in some offense. But he's really added a nice dimension to the offense and has already made an impact.

Gunnar continues to struggle. When our D is fully healthy, I'd prefer Bortuzzo in over Gunnar most nights, but hey, my name isn't Hitchcock.

That Tarasenko shot was such a laser. It kinda reminds me of the days of MacInnis burying one off the faceoff.

Well I got the important one right. :okman:

Agreed. I keep asking: what team has been successful with a goalie rotation? The answer is: none. No team has been very successful without a clear #1 goalie. Hitchcock seems to have become terminally indecisive in his dotage. What are your best lines, Hitch? Who's the 7th D? What sort of system do you want to play? I wonder if he knows.

Yeah, me too. He skates a lot better than I thought he would.

Good game against a team that was up for it and didn't make it easy. A couple more wins and this will be a very successful road trip.

IMO Bouwmeester and Pietrangelo played their best game so far last night. Really hope this is the Bouwmeester we see all year.

Kind of surprised they didn't put Parayko with Pietrangelo on the first PP unit vice going with the 4 forwards and Pietro thing.
