The Blues needed to score on this power play to change the momentum in this game. But, they didn't execute well on it.

The Blues weathered the storm of The Bruins' push back in their home game after The Blues' last win. The Blues were lucky to not be down by 2-3 gals, having The Bruins dominate in possession and shots on goal, and good scoring chances. They'd better start skating well, and not panicking in their own zone when facing The Bruins' smothering forecheck.

1st period observations:

1. The last 5 of us left here on the forum would be better on the PP than the Blues.
2. Boston is hammering us every time we're near the puck.
3. Eff the announcers suggesting "The league would be looking at another high hit" from us.
4. I'd like to see someone put Krug through the glass.
5. Binnington saved our bacon that period.

The Blues played a pretty good defensive 2nd Period, and should have come out with a 2-goal lead, if not for Kreyci's "save". Pietrangelo should have scored with all that open net showing. He just hesitated for half a second. I hope The Blues don't end up needing that goal. They need to continue hard forechecking pressure on The Bruins, keeping the puck in the offensive zone, and jumping on Bruins' errors to increase their lead.
