WE DID IT, BOYS! FINALLY!

This has been a surreal experience. I drove home work around 7:30 pm, and the city of St. Louis as far as traffic was a ghost town. I have never seen it like that. I went to Mizzou, and often Columbia would be a ghost down during Christmas break when all the students go home for the holidays. But never have I seen a city this big look so empty because everyone is somewhere watching the Blues game.

I'm failing at sleeping, and I've already spent $ on a few items, plus the Binner jersey I'm going to buy (Might take a couple vacation hours tomorrow to head to the team store to get the right size) and I'm sure some other stuff. Blues be making money.

Go to sleep at 2am, but I made it to work. The adrenaline is still pumping.

My 3 YO is in an early intervention special ed program and had a Father's Day event at his school today so I went to that before heading off to work. On the way there I was playing Gloria full blast in the car and as it turns out he's a big fan. Huge smile on his face and bobbing his head as if he actually understood why I was playing it.

The smile on my face is as big as it was last night, and it'll take a hand grenade to get it off. Still can't believe this is real. I half expected to wake up and realize it was actually just a dream and game 7 was going to be tonight.
