Dave, go for a PS3.. it has plenty of games out.. and great exclusives coming, and great ones that are out now... Rachet and Clank: Tools of Destruction, Warhawk, Uncharted Drakes Fortune (easily the best looking and one of the best playing games out there right now). MGS4, UT3, FF13, FFv13, Killzone 2, mostly coming out early next year. Not to mention the hardware is a lot better.. you won't have to worry about a 360 breaking on you.. and yes.. they sent me a new one not to long ago.. and it's messed up a month after having it.. had to go through it again... when they sent me a new 360 for the 2nd time.. the sync button don't work.. so I have to use wired controllers.. who wants to have to put batteries into a controller.. not to mention the 360 controller feels like I'm a holding a brick. While I think XBL is great.. it should be free.. Microsoft likes to dick around with all these accessories you have to buy.. With all these things games are doing nowadays.. DVD just won't last.. just isn't enough space.... Bluray outselling HDDVD 2:1... GTA 4, and UT3 are being dragged down by the 360.. As for the Wii.. novelty item.. has no games. Unfortunately there is still a lot of media hate for the ps3.. but people are starting to realize what the PS3 is really caapable of.
Dave, I haven't seen you in awhile.. i'll hit you, or hit me up man
Last quarter EA sold $218 million dollars worth of software on the 360 and $17 million on the PS3.
The 360 is outselling the PS3 about 3 to 1 in hardware sales.
Almost every multi-console game is superior on the 360.
If the PS3 has so much potential, why have we yet to see it? The system came out a year later and cost 50% more. Why did the games look worse?
The PS3 and the 360 are both very capable systems... the problem with the PS3 is that developers have to spend more time and money to get games to perform as well on their system as they do on the easy-to-program 360. And then when they do spend more time and money on the PS3 versions, they end up selling about 20% as much as the do on the 360.
How long do you think developers are going to continue to put up with that?
The PS1 and PS2 were popular because they had so much support from 3rd party developers. What incentive do developers have to put a lot of support into the PS3, when they can make so much more money on the Wii and 360?
Unless Sony does something totally drastic and insane... and soon... the Ps3 is destined to be this generations gamecube.
The PS3 has some great looking exclusive titles, but I don't know if it's going to be enough.
Rachet and Clank, which is arguably Sony's biggest game this fall, sold 74,000 copies in October, making it the #10 game for the month. That is a really bad sign.
EA is a joke when making PS3 games.. everyone should know this by now.. I hate the fact they are ones working on the Orange Box. Heavenly Sword, Rachet and Clank, Uncharted Drakes Fortune are all fantastic games, with plenty of great games coming.
to be fair for Rachet and Clank.. it didn't even go on sale in Europe, Austrailia until the 2nd week of Nov.
PS3 price finally drops and I think you'll see those numbers even out a lot more. I do think Wii is a very underrated system, particularly by those on this board.

Supposedly they totally botched Orange Box... Pisses me off.
Uncharted is such a great game. Gotta love Naughty Dog. :D
Well I would still think that making the FF/MGS franchises multiplatform would benefit them more in the long run. They may get a bunch of money up front from Sony, but over a period of time with the 360 I bet they could make up the difference at the very least, possibly even more.
